Gilbert Chamber of Commerce Foundation Offers Scholarships to Students

Each year, the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce Foundation provides scholarships to students who are currently attending or plan to attend (within six months) an accredited vocational, 2-year, or 4- year institution. Recipient(s) must have demonstrated engagement through involvement in the local Gilbert community and additional weight is given to those students who have participated in a Gilbert Chamber Foundation program.

Scholarship(s) are intended for Gilbert area students (high school seniors or above).

To be eligible for consideration students must: - Currently attend or plan to attend an accredited vocational, 2-year, or 4-year institution. - Have an unweighted GPA of 2.7 or above. - Have demonstrated engagement through involvement in the local Gilbert community. - Include either a 500-word essay or a 3- to 4-minute video. Essay or video must include the following: - Your career pathway/goals. - How accomplishing your education and career goals will help you make an impact in the community, including how you will continue to engage in the community once you start your career. - How this scholarship will help you achieve those goals and assist you in making an impact in the community.

Community Engagement

Please provide additional information on your involvement with local community programs, the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce/Gilbert Chamber Foundation, and any workforce development programs.

Local Gilbert Community Please list and describe your involvement with any local Gilbert area community programs you have been involved with, sharing what you have learned and how you have grown as a result of your experiences with community programs.

Community Workforce Development Please list and describe your involvement with any workforce-development programming including Gilbert Chamber and Foundation programming. (e.g., Career Shadowing & Mentorship, Internships, jobs, or volunteer positions - Do you work for a Chamber Member business?) Please share what you have learned and how you have grown as a result of your experiences with the workforce development programming mentioned above.

Awarded amounts will vary each year, though can typically range from $500 to $1,500. Applications now being accepted through Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 5:00pm. Selections will be announced in April 2024.
