2026 Ballot Propositions

The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce evaluates ballot propositions that may have a meaningful impact on businesses, employers, and the economic vitality of our community and region. Chamber members review relevant measures and consider their potential effects on business operations, economic growth, competitiveness, and the broader business environment. Positions are adopted by the Gilbert Chamber Board of Directors following this review.

Ballot propositions require thoughtful consideration, particularly in Arizona, where voter-approved initiatives receive significant constitutional protections from subsequent legislative changes. Because propositions approved by voters can be difficult to amend—even when unintended consequences arise—the Chamber carefully evaluates both the immediate and long-term implications of each proposal before taking a position.
