Last week, the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce proudly wrapped up its 2025 Adopt-A-Senior Program, marking a nearly record-breaking year of community impact and holiday cheer. Through the generosity of Chamber members and community supporters, all 122 senior wish lists from the Gilbert Senior Center and Page Commons were fully adopted, ensuring every participating senior felt remembered and celebrated during the holiday season.
The program culminated on Tuesday, December 16, with a festive Holiday Breakfast hosted at the Gilbert Senior Center. The Senior Center graciously opened its community space and provided a delicious breakfast, creating a warm and welcoming environment for seniors to gather, connect, and celebrate.
The morning began with welcoming remarks from the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, followed by sponsor introductions and remarks. The Chamber was honored to recognize Mark and Mickie Newman of Newman Realty powered by Realty One Group; Barbara Sprungl with SRP SanTan Generating Station; All About You Placement and Senior Resources; and Analaura and James DeVary of Senior Helpers of Chandler & Gilbert, the sponsor of the Alma Riedel Holiday Donation Drive, for their generous support of the program.
Entertainment was provided by Gilbert Arts Academy, adding music and joy to the celebration, while Chamber staff and volunteers worked throughout the morning to ensure seniors were comfortable, served, and engaged.
In addition to the Adopt-A-Senior wish list program, the Chamber accepted donations through the Alma Riedel Holiday Donation Drive, sponsored by Senior Helpers of Chandler & Gilbert. These donated items were distributed throughout the breakfast as raffle prizes, adding excitement and surprise to the morning. Following the raffles, volunteers ensured that every senior received a gift to take home.
The celebration concluded with a special surprise for all attendees, as each senior received an additional gift card courtesy of SanTan Village Mall, personally presented by sponsors and Chamber staff.
