Ready to Inspire? Become a Mentor Through the Gilbert Chamber Foundation

Gilbert is full of bright minds with big dreams — from middle school students pitching business ideas to first-time entrepreneurs seeking guidance. Many of them are just one meaningful conversation away from the clarity or confidence they need to take their next step.

The Gilbert Chamber Foundation offers a range of mentorship opportunities for professionals who want to invest in our community. Whether you have one hour or want to commit to an ongoing relationship, there’s a role for you to make a real impact.

Ways to Mentor with the Foundation

We offer a variety of flexible, rewarding mentorship experiences — choose the one that best fits your time, interests, and expertise:

The CATALYST: A Business Resource Hub

The CATALYST is a free, community-centered business resource space designed to support entrepreneurs, career seekers, and students with:

  • Business coaching and advising
  • Workshops and professional development
  • A podcast booth, content creation suite, and learning space

Mentors at The CATALYST might lead a session, host open office hours, or support new entrepreneurs one-on-one as they explore or grow their ventures.

Shadowing & Mentoring Program (High School & College Students)

This flagship program connects students with professionals for real-world career exposure and personalized guidance.

As a mentor, you can:

  • Offer a one-time or multi-hour job shadowing experience
  • Help students understand the day-to-day of your industry
  • Build their confidence by sharing your journey, challenges, and insights
  • Support career exploration and planning through short-term mentorship

It’s a powerful way to help students envision what’s possible — and understand how to get there.

Student Entrepreneurs Academy (Grades 6–12)

Support young entrepreneurs as they build real businesses over a 16-week experience. Mentors in this program may:

  • Judge or coach student pitch sessions
  • Support individual students in the program
  • Share entrepreneurial stories and lessons learned
  • Offer feedback on marketing, finance, or operations topics

Interview Skills Clinic

Support high school students as they prepare for jobs, internships, or college interviews. In just one session, you can:

  • Conduct a mock interview
  • Provide resume or communication feedback
  • Help students articulate their strengths and sharpen professional presence

This is one of our most impactful and accessible opportunities — and it only takes about 2 hours.

Why Mentorship Matters in Gilbert

When professionals give their time and perspective, it creates lasting change. You’re not just offering advice — you’re offering access, connection, and encouragement.

The Gilbert Chamber Foundation exists to build bridges — between generations, industries, and ideas. With your help, we can ensure more students and emerging leaders feel prepared, supported, and seen.
