Arizona's 2026 Primary Election marked an important milestone for Gilbert and our region, electing four new Gilbert Town Council members and determining the candidates who will advance to the November General Election for several state and federal offices.
Gilbert Town Council
The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce congratulates the community's newly elected Town Councilmembers:

- Joel Coen*
- Bus Obayomi
Based on the majority formula, these candidates will be elected in the primary and will not advance to the general election.
We appreciate each individual's willingness to serve our community and look forward to working together to advance policies and initiatives that strengthen Gilbert's economy, support local employers, and enhance the quality of life for all who live and work here.

The Gilbert Chamber's advocacy efforts extend well beyond Election Day. Throughout the election cycle, we were proud to provide opportunities for business leaders and voters to engage with candidates through interviews, public forums, podcasts, policy discussions, and our endorsement process.
Over the coming weeks, Chamber leadership will begin meeting individually with Gilbert's newly elected Town Councilmembers. These conversations will provide an opportunity to better understand their priorities, share perspectives from the business community, and connect them with Chamber Board members whose expertise aligns with the issues they are most passionate about.
Whether or not the Chamber endorsed a particular candidate, our commitment remains the same: to serve as a trusted resource, foster constructive dialogue, and advocate for policies that create a strong business climate and a vibrant community.
