The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce kicked off its first Referral Team Culture Training of the fiscal year on Wednesday, September 23, bringing together members for a morning of fresh perspectives, practical insights, and new ways to strengthen the relationships that make referral teams successful.
This year, we took a fresh approach by bringing in new experts and focusing on the topics our members identified as important to their success. With the help of our incredible lineup of speakers, Lanie Martin, Jake Burt, and Peppur Chambers, along with emcee Mark Newman, the morning offered a mix of expertise, energy, and plenty of inspiration to take back to the weekly meeting.
From strengthening one-to-one conversations to making a lasting impression and finding new ways to connect with an audience, each session brought something different to the table. Our speakers challenged attendees to look at familiar habits through a new lens, step outside their comfort zones, and think about how small changes can make a meaningful difference in the way they build relationships and generate referrals.
And the energy didn't stop when the presentations ended. Seeing members leave feeling encouraged to try new approaches, put fresh ideas into practice, and make more intentional connections was a reminder of why investing in our referral teams matters. Even longtime members walked away with something new to consider, proving there's always room to learn, grow, and discover a different perspective.
