Gilbert Chamber Foundation to Launch Young Entrepreneurs Academy
The Gilbert Chamber Foundation is set to launch the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), an innovative program designed to transform middle and high school students into confident entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to equip young minds with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to start and run their own businesses, fostering a new generation of business leaders in Gilbert.
What is the Young Entrepreneurs Academy?
YEA! is a national program that guides students through the process of launching and running their own real businesses. Over the course of the program, students will:
- Develop business ideas and conduct market research
- Write business plans and pitch to a panel of investors
- Gain valuable insights and experience from professionals working in a wide variety of industries
By the end of the program, students will have a fully formed and legally registered business or social movement.
Why Gilbert?
The Gilbert Chamber Foundation recognizes the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial skills from a young age. By bringing YEA! to Gilbert, the Foundation aims to:
- Encourage innovation and creativity among youth
- Provide practical business education beyond the classroom
- Strengthen the local economy by fostering future business leaders
This initiative aligns with the Foundation's mission to support educational programs that contribute to the community's economic vitality.
Community Involvement
The success of YEA! in Gilbert will rely on the support of local businesses and community leaders. Opportunities for involvement include:
- Serving as guest speakers or mentors
- Hosting field trips to local businesses
- Participating in investor panels
Engaging with the program offers businesses a chance to give back to the community and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.
