Building Connections That Matter: GYP Gives Back & What’s Next

At the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, the Gilbert Young Professionals (GYP) program is all about creating meaningful connections—both professionally and within our community. Our most recent event, GYP Gives Back, was a perfect reflection of that mission in action.

We had the opportunity to spend the afternoon at Page Commons, where our attendees connected directly with seniors in our community. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to assist with light clean-up around the property, helping keep the community looking its best. Inside, others spent time one-on-one with residents—offering technology support, playing games, and most importantly, listening.

One of the most impactful parts of the day was simply hearing the stories and experiences shared by the residents. These conversations created genuine connections across generations and served as a reminder of how valuable it is to slow down and engage with those around us.

GYP Gives Back is just one example of how our program goes beyond traditional networking. While we absolutely focus on professional growth and building strong business relationships, we also prioritize giving back and creating opportunities for our members to make a real impact in Gilbert.

Whether you’re looking to expand your network, grow professionally, or get more involved in the community, GYP offers a space to do all of that—and more. From casual socials to interactive workshops and volunteer opportunities, there’s something for everyone.

Join Us for Our Next Event!
We’re excited to keep the momentum going with our next GYP Social, presented by Meritum Credit Card Processing, on Wednesday, April 29th at Main Event. This will be a fun, casual evening of networking where you can connect with fellow young professionals in a relaxed, high-energy environment.

Come out and experience what GYP is all about—we’d love to see you there!
