The Career Shadowing and Mentorship Program aims to support and inspire students to develop their employability. Help integrate the workforce of tomorrow, today!

The Gilbert Chamber Foundation is pleased to once again host the Career Shadowing and Mentorship Program for the 2020 summer season and are looking for local professionals who are interested in becoming mentors to students. Would you consider participating in this rewarding and valuable program over our summer season?

The program.

The Career Shadowing and Mentorship Program matches local high school and college students with professionals who through a mentoring relationship, provide an exclusive, inside-look at their business and share their knowledge and experience to help students understand what it takes to be successful in their field.

The program begins with an orientation (May 12) where mentors and students meet, exchange contact information, and schedule time together. The student then visits with their mentor and mentor’s team to observe activities for 16-20 hours over the summer months, between May 12th and July 30th. The program is flexible, and the hours are scheduled directly between the mentor and student. The program concludes with a closing reception on July 30th.

How to get involved.

We hope that you will participate in this program, as we believe that the experience will be as rewarding and worthwhile for you as it will be for the student. Connecting you to the workforce of the future gives you the opportunity to impact and invest in the next generation and connects you with potential future employees.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact Kristine ( no later than February 21st with the following information:

  1. In which departments (or areas of your business) do you have mentorship opportunities?
  2. How many students per department would you be willing to mentor?

Thank you for your consideration!
