Night of Heroes Gala
Honoring the East Valley Man & Woman of the Year
Thursday, March 21, 2019, 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Hilton Phoenix/Mesa, 1011 W. Holmes Ave., Mesa, AZ
Positive Paths, an Arizona non-profit organization focused on providing women with self-sustainability through mentoring and education, will be holding its annual Night of Heroes Gala on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at 5:30 pm at the Hilton Phoenix/Mesa.
The event honors the East Valley Man and Woman of the Year. This year’s honorees are Michael Pollack, President and Founder of Pollack Investments, and Kathy Tilque, CEO of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, both of whom have been strong advocates for women and families in the East Valley.
In addition to his very successful retail, commercial, multi-family and single-family real estate developments across multiple states, Michael Pollack has also been involved for decades in numerous charitable efforts, including exceptional advocacy for and financial contributions to Save the Family Foundation. His work helped hundreds of single mothers experiencing domestic violence which led to their homelessness. Pollack’s band, Corporate Affairs, played for several decades to support charitable fundraising events and he has been a generous donor to multiple organizations in the East Valley including Goodwill Employment Centers, Chandler Education Foundation, East Valley Assistance League, and hospitals and police departments, all of which support women’s issues.
Kathy Tilque’s leadership in the East Valley spans nearly three decades and she is well-known for mentoring young women in business. Kathy’s leadership and focus on access to care for the underserved contributed to the development of the Heritage Center in Gilbert, which houses nonprofit organizations providing healthcare, education, and resources for underserved women and families. Her service on the Dignity Health East Valley Community Board includes advocacy for the expansion of Women’s and Children’s service lines. One of Tilque’s most enduring legacies will be as one of the founders of Positive Paths, where she served as a founding member, president and treasurer of the board of directors, committee chairperson, and mentor to young women.
The March 21st Gala includes a silent auction and other opportunities to purchase gift cards, fine wine and exclusive events and activities. Guests will have a memorable evening, while supporting women in the East Valley.
Positive Paths is supported by donations from organizations and individuals who believe that supporting women strengthens entire families and builds strong communities. The Gala enjoys tremendous support from the community. To date the Ignite sponsor is The Rudge Foundation; the Inspire sponsor is Dignity Health (Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers); the Honor sponsors are Trust Bank, Intel, and McColes Ranch, and the Uplift sponsor is TTG Advisors.
