How Google's Antitrust Lawsuit May Affect You

On Oct. 20th, the Department of Justice filed a lawsuit accusing Google of illegally protecting its monopoly over search and search ads.

The DOJ claims Google shut out competition among web browsers by paying billions of dollars to ensure Google is the default browser for Android, Apple, Samsung and other devices.

While this lawsuit will likely be a years-long process, it could change the way consumers use the internet. For you, that means you may eventually want to ensure your content and ads perform well on non-Google browsers like Bing, Yahoo, etc.

We will be watching this lawsuit closely and will keep our clients updated of any changes that may affect search rankings.
