Help us raise the funds needed for Gilbert Leadership’s Class 31 Project Day while making a positive impact in our community!
GL31’s focus is on mental health and suicide prevention awareness and efforts include:
- Free QPR (Question, Refer, Persuade suicide prevention/mental crisis gatekeeper) training for the community on March 4, 2023.
- Beautifying a .75-mile trail loop within the Gilbert Riparian Preserve on April 15 to be known as Gilbert’s Hope Walk. This includes subtle desert-themed positive mental messaging, a mural and repurposed reflection areas for increasing the mental health of visitors.
- Hope kits will be available to the public on the project reveal day in May. These kits will include positive messaging, tips and resources for increasing mental health and suicide prevention efforts.
Class 31’s goal is $5,000 and all funding beyond that will remain with the Foundation for the expected maintenance of the trail in the future.
With your help, the Gilbert Parks and Recreation Foundation and Gilbert Leadership Class 31 can reach this goal and complete the work we’re committed to doing within this project.
