Gilbert Chamber Honors Annual Business Award Nominees, Recipients At Annual Luncheon


Outgoing Board Members, Committee Leads Recognized at Event

GILBERT – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce recognized leaders of the organization and announced the recipients of their 15th Annual Business Awards on June 16th, presented by Meadows Bank.

All finalists were nominated by the local business community and award recipients were determined by a committee of peer Chamber members, with approval by the organization’s Board of Directors.

The 2021 Annual Business Award recipients are:

Best Company Culture Award – 4:10 Real Estate

Community Advocacy Award – Amy Jones Real Estate Group

Disaster Response Business Award – House of Refuge

Gilbert Chamber Volunteer of the Year – Chris Woodard, Woodard Construction

Gilbert Chamber Foundation Volunteers of the Year- Tim Colquhoun, National Bank of Arizona; Jaime Johnson, Life Community Church; Shelly Lanham, community volunteer; and Jän Simon, Foundation Insurance Services

Gilbert Leadership Award – Albert “AJ” Alaniz, Sacaton Unified School District

Most Innovative Idea or Project Award – Brian Jensen, Wisdom Natural Brands

Best Overall Citizen Award – Julia Macaluso, GR8FR8 Logistics, LLC

The luncheon included the Gilbert Chamber and Foundation year-in-review, delivered in digital format by current Chair of the Board, Jasmine Holmes, Owner of 910 West; incoming Chair of the Board Christie Boutain, Vice President Commercial Loan Officer of Meadows Bank; and President/CEO of the Gilbert Chamber, Sarah Watts.

“One of my greatest takeaways from the past year is this: resiliency is not defined as returning to what we once were; resiliency is about walking through hardship and coming out stronger and more focused than ever before. Our members never cease to amaze me with the amount of support they show to one another and to the mission of the Gilbert Chamber,” said Sarah Watts, President/CEO of the Gilbert Chamber.

Current Chair of the Board, Jasmine Holmes, Owner of 910 West, recognized the organization’s committee chairpersons and outgoing members of the Board of Directors, including Ralph Willet of Willett CPA and Rustyn Sherer formerly with APS. Holmes also recognized the incoming Gilbert Chamber Board Chair, Christie Boutain of Meadows Bank.
